This lip balm holder is roughly the size of a Madeleine. 
The shell-shaped and convex sides are knitted flat separately and then sewn together as the final step. 
It’s worked from bottom up, using a German short rows to achieve a three-dimensional look. 
Attach a string made from I-cord to finish.
